Accessing UNW Systems and Services

Services Available Anywhere (See list to the right)

These services are available off-campus.   You can use these services securely from any computer with internet access and a web browser.

Services Available On-Campus only or via VPN when Off-Campus (See list to the right)

These services are only available on-campus or require VPN access.  There are several options to access these resources:

Users with UNW Laptops

Please plan to use your UNW laptop remotely.

Due to high demand and limitations on the Cisco VPN, IT will be deploying a new Global Connect VPN client for all users who need VPN access.

IT will be installing the Global Connect VPN client to all Windows and Mac laptops.  However, Windows users who are already working remotely may need to contact IT to get access to the Global Connect VPN Client

Users with UNW Desktops

IT can enable remote access to your UNW desktop from home, please contact IT to enable remote access to your UNW desktop in your office

This can be used securely from any computer with internet access and a web browser.

Users without dedicated UNW Desktops or Laptops

For users without a dedicated UNW desktop or laptop who need access to On-Campus only resources, IT has provided information on how to access those resources remotely.

This can be used securely from any computer with internet access and a web browser.

Users without a Computer at home

If you do not have a computer at home or a UNW laptop, you may request a loaner laptop from IT

NOTE: Due to limited number of laptops available, requests will be prioritized based on need.  

Request a Webcam

If you do not have access to a webcam and need one to facilitate online courses, you may request a webcam from IT

NOTE: Due to limited number of webcams available, requests will be prioritized based on need.  Additional webcams are due to arrive by end of day Tuesday.

Phones and VoiceMail

Forwarding Phone Calls to a Cell Phone:

  • To forward all calls from your phone:

    1. enter * 72 followed by the number you wish to forward the call to, then press the “DIAL” soft key.

    2. After one ring, the call should disconnect and forwarding will be set. 

      1. If this is an outside line, you will need to include 9+1, the area code, and phone number. 

        1. e.g. 9+1+area code+number
        2. Example: 9-1-651-631-5100
      2. To cancel forwarding, dial * 73 then press the “DIAL” soft key. After one ring, the call should disconnect and forwarding will be cancelled.
